Mr MARSHALL (Norwood—Leader of the Opposition) (14:24): I would like to ask the minister about the scope of the Ombudsman's inquiry and whether or not it can investigate actions of the minister's office as part of that investigation?

RANKINE (Wright—Minister for Education and Child Development, Minister for Multicultural Affairs) (14:24): The chief executive has outlined the complexities of this issue to the Ombudsman and passed on the request of the families that he investigate whether a mandatory report should have been made.
